Quick snack – Masala Puffed Rice | Ventuno Home Cooking

Masala Puffed Rice
Ingredients

Puffed Rice – 200 gms
Broken Chana dal – 1/4 cup
Roasted Peanuts – 1/4 cup
Garlic – 3 cloves (crushed)
A few Curry leaves
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Asafoetida powder – 1/4 tsp

Method:
1. In a wide pan, add ghee, broken chana dal and roast it for about 2 minutes.
2. Then add roasted peanuts, curry leaves & crushed garlic. Roast it for 2 mins, add puffed rice and mix it.
3. Keep the flame on low, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, asafoetida powder and gently mix it.
4. Let it roast for a few minutes and then finally add a tsp of ghee. Quick savoury snack is ready.
5. Allow it to cool and store in an airtight container.
