Ingredients
To Make Dough
Maida – 1 1/4 Cups
Salt – 1 Tsp
Oil – 2 Tsp
Water
To Make Filling
Potato – 3 Nos
Carrot – 1 No
Chopped Beans
Green Chili – 2 Nos Chopped
Green Peas
Salt – 1 Tsp
Chili Powder -2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
A Pinch Of Asafoetida Powder
Oil – 1 Tsp
Water
Method
In a bowl add maida, oil, salt and mix them together
Add water gradually and mix the dough
Knead the dough
Close the dough and let it rest for 10-15 mins
In a pressure cooker, add potato, carrot, beans, peas, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, oil, asafoetida powder
Mix them well
Add water and pressure cook for about 3-4 whistles on medium flame
Mash the vegetables well
Take a small portion of the dough, flatten it
Place a small amount of the vegetable filling and cover it
Roll out the dough
Heat a tawa and place the poli
Flip the poli to the other side and apply ghee to the poli
Cook the poli till they are golden brown on both the sides
Kaara Poli is ready to be served
