Puffed Rice Upma Recipe
Ingredients
Puffed Rice – 1 packet
Oil – 3 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
A few Curry leaves
Onion – 2 finely chopped
Carrot – 1 finely chopped
Boiled Green Peas a few
Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
A piece of Ginger finely chopped
Roasted Peanuts – 3 tbsp
Water – 1 cup
Lemon – 1/2
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
A few Coriander leaves
Method :
1. Heat a oil in a pan, add urad dal & mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds start splattering add onions, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves & sauté it for a few minutes.
2. Once the onions turn transparent, add the carrots, peas, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, roasted peanuts and mix it well.
3. After 2 minutes add the puffed rice and gently mix it.
4. Pour a cup of water to the mix and let it cook for 2 minutes.
5. Then add coriander leaves and half lime juice to finish your simple & delicious Puffed Rice Upma.
