Eggless Vanilla sponge cake
Vanilla sponge cake is a classic sponge cake dish that is loved by people of all ages. It’s a great tea time snack. It’s simple and soft and fluffy. Let’s see how we can make this delicious light sponge cake.
Ingredients
Powdered Sugar – 1 cup (250 ml)
All purpose flour / Maida – 2 cups (500 ml)
Baking powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Milk – 1 cup
Vanilla essence – 2 tsp
Melted Butter – 1/2 cup (125 ml)
Method:
In a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, powdered sugar (to make the powdered sugar, grind a cup of sugar in the mixer grinder and use it), baking powder, baking soda, salt.
Mix the dry ingredients well.
Now add milk, vanilla essence, melted butter and whisk it till you get a creamy batter.
Now take a cake tin or any mould to bake the cake and grease it with butter and dust it with flour evenly.
Now pour the cake batter into the cake tin and steam it in a steamer for about 45 minutes on low flame.
If you choose to bake it, preheat your oven to 180 degrees and bake it for about 30 minutes.
After the cake is done, Cool it before you transfer the cake from the tin.
Vanilla Sponge Cake is ready to serve. Now you can cut the cake into pieces and serve it for your evening tea time snacks.
