Coconut Rice Payasam | Ventuno Home Cooking

Coconut Rice Payasam Recipe
Ingredients

Raw rice – 1/2 cup
Grated Coconut – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Jaggery – 100gms
Roasted Cashew nuts
Roasted Raisins
Cooking Camphor a pinch
Milk – 1 cup
Water – 3 to 4 cups

Method:
1. First step, add some water to jaggery and melt it. When the jiggery is melting, prepare the rice mix.
2. Soak the Raw rice for about an hour. Now, Grind soaked Raw rice & Coconut into a coarse mixture.
3. Dissolve the mixture with water at room temperature, then cook it till rice mixture cooked.
4. Add Cardamom powder, cooking Camphor and mix it.
5. Now strain the melted jaggery in to the mixture. Cook for some time till it becomes thick.
6. Turn off the stove and add Milk.
7. Garnish it with Roasted Cashew nuts & Roasted Raisins. Serve hot or cold.
