Chettinad Potato Roast
Ingredients

Potato – 5 no
Water
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Red chili – 2 no
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chili powder – 2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Curry leaves

Method:
1.Take a pressure cooker, add 5 potatoes, enough water and cook for 3 to 4 whistles till they are cooked.
2.Cool the cooked potato and cut them into pieces.
3.Take a wide kadai, add 1 to 2 tbsp of oil, 1/2 tsp of Mustard seeds, 1 tsp of Urad dal, 1 tsp of chana dal, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 2 Red chili and saute it.
4.Once mustard seeds start spluttering, add cut up potatoes with the mixture and mix it well with 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 2 tsp of chili powder, 1 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of chettinad masala powder.
5.Mix it all together for sometime in little heat.
Chettinad Potato Roast is ready to be served.

  • Hello mam, I would like to share on tip to all your viewers. That is before pressure cooking the potato' s cut it into half and then cook it for 3 or 4 whistle as mam said. Otherwise it is bit hard in the center part of the potato even after cooked. Thank you 🙂
