Aloo Paratha | Ventuno Home Cooking

Aloo Paratha
Ingredients:

Boiled Potatoes – 3 nos
Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
A pinch of Turmeric powder
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Amchur powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
A few chopped Coriander leaves
Chapati Dough
Ghee/Butter

Method:
1. First of all, cut into half & Boil the potatoes with skin
2. Once boiled, remove the skin & mash the potato
3. Add 1/2 tsp of Chilli powder, a pinch of Turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of Cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of Amchur powder, Salt, a few chopped Coriander leaves & mix well.
4. Take a ball of dough & flat it thick
5. Now keep some Aloo filling & fold the dough from all the sides to seal it
6. Press down & gently roll it
7. Cook both sides with some ghee or butter.
8. Your Aloo Paratha is ready you can have it with Pickle or Curd.

  • Mam,super another method of making Aloo Paratha is, without stuffing Aloo masala inside the dough; just spread the Aloo masala on the extended dough then add another parathaa on the masala. Then put this on tawa, cook on both sides and cut it into two halves.Thank you mam.

  • Hi hema 🙂 thanks for uploading this recipe. one question- I tried aloo paratha once..but i never could make it this big like you have shown and the stuffing kept coming out and also the chapathi wasnt soft at all. Do you have some tips for that? Thanks
