Ingredients (1 cup = 200 ml)
1 cup split Chickpeas/ Chana Dal
1/2 cup split Pigeonpeas/ Toor Dal
1 small to medium sized Beetroot/ Chukandar
1 Dry Red Chilli/ Sookhi Laal Mirch
1 inch Ginger/ Adrak peeled and finely chopped
2 Green Chillies/ Hari Mirch finely chopped
7-8 Curry Leaves/ Kadi Patta finely chopped
1-2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves/ Dhaniya patta
1 tsp Aniseed/ Saunf
A few drops of Lime juice/ Nimbu ka ras
1 1/2 tsp Salt/ Namak or as per taste
1/8 cup Rice flour/ Chawal ka aata (1 cup = 250 ml)
Oil/ Tel for frying
