INGREDIENTS
For Kanda Bhaji/ Pyaaz ke Pakore:
2 medium sized Onions
1 cup gram flour (1 cup= 200 ml) or as required
1/4th tsp carom seeds/ ajwain
1/8 tsp turmeric powder/ haldi
1 tsp red chilli powder or as per taste
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp salt or as per taste
2 cups Groundnut Oil for frying
For Palak Pakore:
3/4 cup Besan/ Gram flour (1 cup= 200 ml)
12-15 Palak/ Spinach leaves
1/2 cup water or as required
1/4 tsp Ajwain/ Carom seeds
1/3 tsp Lal Mirch/ Red Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Namak/ Salt or as required
1/8 tsp Haldi/ Turmeric powder
A generous pinch of Hing/ Asafoetida
A generous pinch of Baking Soda
Tel/ Oil for frying the pakoras
For Moong Dal ke Pakore:
1 cup green moong dal/ hari moong dal (1 cup = 250 ml)
5-6 green chillies/ hari mirch or as per taste
6-7 garlic cloves/ lehsun peeled
1.5 inch ginger/ adrak peeled
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds/ bhuna hua jeera
1/3 tsp red chilli powder/ lal mirch powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder/ haldi powder
A generous pinch of asafoetida/ hing
A generous pinch of baking soda (optional)
3/4 tsp salt/ namak or as per taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta
OIl/ tel for deep frying the pakoras
For Aloo Pakoda/ Batata Bhajji:
2 medium sized potatoes/ aloo
1/2 cup gram flour/ besan (1 cup = 250 ml)
1 tsp rice flour/ chawal ka aata
A little over 1/4 cup water/ paani
1/3 tsp carom seeds/ ajwain
1/2 tsp red chilli powder/ lal mirch powder
1/2 tsp salt or as per taste
1/8 tsp turmeric powder/ haldi
A generous pinch of asafoetida/ hing
A generous pinch of baking soda
Oil/ tel for frying the pakoras
