Ingredients (1 cup = 200 ml):

200 gm Okra/ Bhindi
11/2 tsp tamarind/ imli
1 1/2 tsp jaggery/ gud

1 cup hot water/ garam paani

2-3 tbsp oil/ tel
1/2 tsp mustard seeds/ rai
1/2 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera

6-7 curry leaves/ kadipatta
A generous pinch of asafoetida/ hing
1/8 tsp turmeric powder/ haldi
1/2 tsp red chilli powder/ lal mirch powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder/ jeera powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder/ dhaniya powder
3/4 tsp salt/ namak or as per taste

Chopped coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta for garnishing
