Homemade boodi laddu without jhara
Ingredients –
1.5 Cup Besan
1.5 Cup Sugar
Yellow food colour
Melon seeds
Cardamom powder
Method –
Sive besan and add yellow food colour, gradually add 1 cup water and prepare a thin batter. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
Heat oil or ghee in a deep wok, take a boondi making jhara, keep jhara on wok and pour besan batter and fry boondis in hpt oil / ghee. Prepare all boondis in the same way.
For sugar syrup, add 1.5 cup sugar and 1.5 cup water in a sauce pan, allow to melt sugar and make a sticky sugar syrup, Switch off the flame. Add yellow food colour, cardamom powder, melon seeds, fried boondis, mix and cover. Keep aside for 30 minutes. Now apply some water on your hands and prepare laddus from the soaked boondis. Enjoy homemade halwai style laddus.
