Instant Soft & Spongy Kerala Style Unniyappam Recipe With Whole wheat flour ഉണ്ണിയപ്പം റെസിപ്പി

Ingredients –
1 cup Whole wheat flour
½ cup jaggery
1 medium size banana
1 tsp black sesame seeds
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coconut
1 tsp oil
Method –
Heat 1 cup water, add jaggery and melt on low flame, remove from stove and sieve the jaggery water. Keep aside and let it cool. Heat a spoon oil in a tadka pan. Add chopped coconut and cook on low flame for a minute.
Add wheat flour in a bowl. Add cooked coconut, black sesame seeds, and gradually add jaggery water and prepare a thick batter. Mix nicely and beat for 2-3 minutes. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Heat a appam maker on medium flame, fill half cavities with oil. Add a spoon full prepared batter in cavities, allow to cook on medium to high flame for 2 minutes, flip with the help of small spoon and fry from other side too. Remove the fried unniyappam from appam maker. Southindian famous jaggery sweet dish is ready.
