Ingredients –
1+1/4 cup / 200gram sooji
3/4 cup / 150gram ghee
1 cup milk powder
1 cup / 200gram sugar
½ tsp cardamom powder
Method –
Add sooji and ghee in a pan. Roast on low flame for 8-10 minutes. Switch off the flame, allow to cool for 3-4 minutes, gradually add milk powder and mix. Keep aside.
Take 400ml water and 200gram sugar in another pan. Cook till sugar melts properly. Now again place sooji and milk powder mixture on low flame, gradually add sugar syrup and mix. Now cook till it thickens properly. Add cardamom powder. Pour in a greased plate or a cake tin, cover and keep it aside for 4-5 hours. Cut in small rectangle shape, garnish with pistachio flakes and enjoy homemade kalakand.
