How to make Goan Mutton / Lamb Xacuti, Konkani Style Mutton Curry Recipe
►An authentic and traditional spicy goan curry made with masala paste by roasting variety of spices and fresh coconut
1 cup = 250 ml; Tbsp. = Tablespoon = 15 ml; tsp. = teaspoon = 5 ml
Ingredients:
800g Lamb / Mutton (cleaned & cut into pieces)
2 cups Grated Coconut
1 cup Onions (chopped)
250g Potatoes (chopped into quarters)
½” Ginger
5 Garlic Cloves
2 tsp. Coriander Seeds
¼ tsp. Cumin Seeds
1 tsp. Fennel Seeds
½ Mace blade
¼” Nutmeg
5 Peppercorns
3 Petals Aniseed
1 ½” Cinnamon Stick (broken)
7 Cloves
10 Dried Red Kashmiri Chillies
½ tsp. Poppy Seeds
1 ½ Tbsp. Tamarind Pulp
¼ tsp. Turmeric Powder
1 tsp. Ginger / Garlic Paste
2 Tbsp. Coriander (for garnishing)
8 Curry Leaves
9 Tbsp. Cooking Oil
Salt to Taste
Serves: 4 -6
