How to cook Goan Ambot Tik, popular Goan Fish Ambot Tik, Goan Sour and Spicy Curry Recipe
►Fish cooked in sour and spicy mouth-watering curry made with tangy and spicy ground masala paste

1 cup = 250 ml
Ingredients:
700 gms Catfish (cut into pieces, seasoned with salt and washed)
½ cup Onion (chopped)
½ tsp. Sugar
5 Tbsp. Vinegar
4 tbsp. cooking Oil
Salt to taste

For masala paste:
12 dried kashmiri red Chillies
¼ tsp. Cumin seeds
Tamarind (marble sized)
6 Cloves
¼” Ginger
5 Garlic cloves
¼ tsp. Turmeric powder
½” Cinnamon stick

Serves: 6
Preparation Time: 30 mins

  • Hmm, but sugar not good for diabetes and pepper corns are necessary as its traditional recipe should add all ingredients. Anyways thanks for your reply.

  • In your recipe you missed adding Triphal or Teflans ( Sichuan pepper) seeds which contribute to a tingling taste in the mouth! We do this frequently in Goa.
