INGREDIENTS: Fish Slices: 1 kg 1″ thick
Lemon juice 1/2 cup
Oil: To fry.
Salt: 1 Tbsp.
Red Chili Powder: 1 Tbsp. (HOT)
Turmeric Powder: 1 Tea Spoon
Zeera Powder: 1/2 Tbsp Spoon
PROCEDURE: dear friends presenting, Tawa fry fish. This is very popular in Old Karachi like beach areas, Khara dar, Lee Market, Mari Pur. Its is very simple and can be made very easily. Frst marinate fish slices with lemon juice for 20 minutes. Then mix all ground spices in a dry bowl and the sprinkle on slices of fish. Leave them on room temperature for 1/2 hour. Then spread a little oil on a Tawa or Fry Pan and then cooke them on both sides as shown in the video on medium heat. ENJOY.

What is surmai fish in English
Well done,I have had this fish in Karachi,it simple but very tasty however the freshness of the fish is the most important factor.I wish you upload the pasandey recipe.I have been watching your website,very interesting as your recipes(tariqa)very similar to mine as I have had learnt under three cooks from India,who were from dehli,Hydrabad(daccan)and Kashmir.
Really you are the best , I think I will give up with my artificial cooking style !!! Keep it up we need this
