Rainy season or the mighty monsoon I may say calls for great side snacks and yummy stuffs that our taste buds desire. Well I being a typical foodie love to much on all things yummy and tangy and one such thing is come the monsoon and I start to crave for Pakoras. Pakoras and I share and eternal bond that I can’t simply put in words. I am sure you love them too, don’t you? Well one such love of mine is the Bread Pakora. Everyone have tried and tasted and simply loved it. When we were kids it was our go to Tiffin recipe as well, remember? Well bread pakoras are a famous street food of India. It has its roots tied up to India which is its actual origin place. It is found with a different name in almost every kitchen in all the parts of India. Some call is Bread bhajiya or like us we call it bread pakora. Bread pakora recipe is very simple though. It is actually quite easy if you would want to figure out how to make bread pakora because even and amateur cook can make this. Trust me! Making crispy bread pakora is a simple process and today I have simplified it even more. I am sharing s tep by step bread pakora recipe with egg which you can enjoy at home. make this simple bread pakora at home and enjoy folks. So let’s begin!

Serves: 6pcs

Ingredients:
1. Bread slices: 6pc
2. Gram Flour: 150gms
3. Onion: 2nos(fine chopped)
4. Potatoes: 4nos(Boiled)
5. Red chili powder: 1tbs
6. Salt: 1tbs
7. Turmeric: ½ tbs
8. Chaat masala” ½ tbs
9. Baking soda: 1pinch
10. Fresh coriander: a little(chopped)
11. Cumin seeds: ½ tbs
12. Coriander Seeds: ½ tbs
13. Refined oil: 2tbs
14. Oil for deep frying

Method:

Step 1: Making the potato stuffing
The stuffing is the actual winner of this dish so let’s prepare that. In a bowl take boiled potatoes and break them a little. Now add the fine chopped onion and the fresh coriander as well. Now put 1/2tbs of red chili powder and 1/2tbs of salt and lastly the chaat masala. Now just mix them together and make a yummy and tangy potato stuffing.

Step 2: Adding the tadka to the mashed potato stuffing
Now put a tadka pan on the gas stove and turn the gas on. Pour 2tbs of refine oil and heat up and then add the coriander seeds, fry them a little and then add cumin seeds and let them crackle. The tadka is done so put it in the potato stuffing and mix it well. Adding the tadka is optional but it just enhances the taste way too much.

Step 3: Making the gram flour batter
Now it’s time to prepare the batter for the yummy pakoras. Take a medium bowl and put the gram flour in it and then put the ½ tbs red chili powder, ½ tbs turmeric powder, ½ tbs salt and a pinch of baking soda and then add water gradually and make a great and little thick batter. Make sure there are no lumps and if wanted you can add an egg as well which will make it yummier but today we are making one without egg.

Step 4: Preparing the pakoras
Now first of all we will heat up the oil for frying so put the kadhai with oil on gas and heat up. Meanwhile let’s prepare the stuffed pakoras. Take a break and spread stuffing with a spoon and then place one bread on top of it, like a sandwich. And then we will cut it from the middle and make the rest like this only.

It’s time to coat the bread so mix the batter once more and now coat the bread with the batter and nicely in the edges and then put the pakora in the oil and do the rest the same way. Deep fry them on high flame and then turn then on different side and fry well. Make sure to fry them nice and well and brown. Take them out when they have turned nice and brown on a plate with tissue paper. Fry all the pieces the same way.

Step 5: Serve up!
Now they are done so serve them up with dip of your choice and enjoy.

In this rainy season when it’s pouring cats and dogs outside if you get a plate of such yummy Bread pakoras with yummy sauce and dips, well it’s literally heaven. Note:
1. The onion should be nice and fine chopped.
2. Mash the potatoes well and nice so the stuffing is smooth.
3. Adding a tadka enhances the tastes way more like you enjoy the taste of samosas stuffing as it has tadka.
4. Crush the coriander before adding to the tadka for the best of taste.
5. Make a lump free nice and a little thick batter.
6. Adding baking soda makes the pakoras more puffy and nice but it’s optional.
7. Fry the pakoras in the oil till they are nice and brown.
