INGREDIENTS

Bitter gourd / Pavakka – 300gm
Shallots / Kunjulli – 1/2 cup
Green chillies – 3-4
Tamarind – 1 (goosberry sized)
Oil – as needed

Grated coconut – 1½ to 2 cups
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek powder / uluva podi- 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Dry red chillies – 2
Cumin seeds – 2 pinches (optional)
Jaggery – 1 tsp (optional)
