Mathanga payasam uses pumpkin, coconut milk, jaggery, and sago as main ingredients.

Finally, payasam is garnished with fried coconut and cashew nut.

Note:- Cooking time for sago varies according to the variety you use. Read instructions thoroughly before use.

Here I have used pearl sago, which dissolves faster. So I have soaked and drained sago immediately.

If you are using thicker variety of sago, you have to soak for at least 5 hours with equal quantity of water.
