Parippu pradhaman is a sweet dessert served in Onasadya. Here I have used chana dal or kadala parippu along with coconut milk and jaggery for kadala parippu payasam. Sago seeds are also add to bring texture and body to kadala payasam. It’s garnished with fried nuts and raisins.

Sharkara / Jaggery – 500 gm
Water – 3/4 cup
Thick coconut milk – 1 cup
Thin coconut milk – 3 1/2 cups
Chavvari / Sago – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cashewnuts – as needed
Raisins – as needed
