Description :

Soji is traditional goan sweet made specially for palm sunday and sào joào. Soji is also known as vonn or kazarachi dal. It is also prepared for family lunch (bhikrea jevon) before the Catholic wedding. It is prepared using coconut milk, palm & sugarcane jaggery, rice flour paste, split bengal gram, cashewnuts flavoured with cardamon powder or turmeric leaves.

Ingredients & Quantity
Coconut milk extracted from 2 coconut (thick & thin) almost 1 ltr.
Split bengal gram (channa dal) – 250 gms
Palm & sugarcane jaggery (chopped) – 1/4 kg
Rice flour – 125 gms
Water as required
Cashewnuts (broken) – 20
Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
