Ingredients & Quantity
Raw Poly Mango (Peeled & Grated) – 3 Nos
Sugarcane Jaggery (Grated) – 1/2 Cup
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder (roasted) – 1/2 tsp
Method
1) Wash, peel, Cut the fresh portion of the Raw mango and grate using a grater.
2) Add the grated mango in a pan along with grated Sugarcane Jaggery, salt. Turmeric powder, red chili powder & roasted cumin powder.
3) Keep stirring and cooking on low heat, the mixture will gradually thicken.
4) the consistency of this mixture should look like jam.
5) Once you get desired consistency take it off the heat and allow to cool.
6) Spoon aam chunda in clean sterilized glass jar or bottle.
7) Serve aam chunda as side condiment with North indian meal or you can have it with chapati, roti or paratha.
Note: if you cook more than chunda gets thick, sticky & hard consistency.
