Description :
Mangane is a traditional sweet dish made in goa during religious functions and festivals. It is simple and quick dish prepared using chana dal, sabudana, coconut milk sweetened with jaggery, flavoured with cardamon powder and garnished with cashewnuts which fried till light golden color. It is also served in goan temples as offering (prasad).

■ Ingredients & Quantity
Chana dal (split bengal gram) soaked & boiled – 1 cup
Sabudana (sago/tapoica pearls) soaked & drained – 1/2 cup
Coconut milk (thin & thick) – 1 cup each
Sugarcane jaggery – 1/2 cup
Cardamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – a pinch
Cashewnuts (broken) – 30 gms
Clarified butter (ghee) – 1 tbsp
