Chaas is a yogurt-based drink popular across Indian subcontinent. It is also written chhaachh. In the Bengal region of the Indian subcontinent, it is called ghol. It is named majjiga in Telugu, moru in Tamil, majjige in Kannada, ale in Tulu. It is often called laban in the Old Dhaka in Bangladesh. You can prepare different flavours of chaas. Dark green chilli (chopped) – 1 tsp
Ginger juice – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp

Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
Cold water – 2 cups
Corriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Mint leaves (chopped) – 1 tsp
Clarified butter (ghee) – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 10

■ Mint Chaas,
Yogurt (Dahi/Curd) – 1 cup

Salt – 1/4 tsp
Cold water – 2 cups
Mint leaves (chopped) – 1 tbsp

■ Mango Chaas,
Yogurt – 1 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Cold water – 2 cups
Mango pulp – 1/2 cup

■ Cumin chaas,
Yogurt – 1 cup
Asafoetida (hing) – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/tsp
Cold water – 2 cups
Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tsp

■ Vanilla Chaas,
Yogurt – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Cold water – 2 cups
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
