I learned about Kashmiri tea about ten years ago when I was doing some personal art projects. I looked around for some beautiful foods and drinks from other cultures. I saw Kashmir pop up in the new again because of the political things that have been going on, and I decided to look around for more beautiful things I could learn from the culture and decided to try and make the tea today.
I didn't have access to good loose tea, so the flavor I got was weak, but I imagine with some good quality tea this would be a wonderful drink. Thank you for helping me learn how to make this! I can't wait to try again!!!
Logu ko baywakooof. Bana rahay ho Yai koi kashmiri chai nahi hai. Sugar hum chai mai dalty he nahi hai we call it noon chai Wo. Bus hum usnai namak daltay hai Pata nahi kya banaya.

I don't have colour blindness….tea in d pan & in d cups were different….tea in d pan was not pink but almost white….& Lastly no one adds sugar in d noon tea…as the word noon means salt….
Kasmiri tea is actually a type of Chinese Tea known as Gunpowder Tea in English and in China: 珠茶; pinyin: zhū chá (pearl tea). It is made using milk and baking soda (this brings out the pink colour). And is traditionally salty as it is also known as Noon Chai… Noon meaning salt… This sweeter version originates from Pakistan and is not traditional Kashmiri
