Prawns Fry / Prawns Roast Kerala Style
Description :
Prawns Fry / Prawns Roast is a treat for seafood lovers. Prawns / Shrimp are the delicacies of the sea world they have an exceptional taste while having lower calories.
Today we are going to make prawns by first seasoning the shrimp and removing the excess moisture from the shrimp and then slow roasting them with minimum oil.This is the Kerala style of frying the prawns.
Ingredients:
1 lb deveined prawns
To marinate:
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp pepper powder
salt to taste
For spicy prawns:
3 tbsp oil
4 green chillies
Curry leaves
1 sliced onion (200g)
Method:
1. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, pepper powder and salt
2. Marinate for 15- 20 minutes
3. Cook the prawns without adding any oil or water (the prawns will cook it in its own juices)
4. Heat 3 tbsp oil ,green chillies , Curry leaves, onions
5. Add the cooked prawns and cook for 3 -4 minutes
