2 Kidney beans ½ cup
3 Butter 1 tsp
4 Ginger 4 tsp
5 Garlic 1 tsp

9 Salt,Gram masala,Red chili 1 tsp each
10 Cumin seed optional 1 tsp
11 Heavy whipping Cream & Cilantro To Garnish /Taste

You should not use the soaked water, the very purpose of soaking to remove certain indigestable things in the beans are gone

So Makhani means black dal? its still not clear. Also dal means so many things and there are so many kinds. What is this black one called in English.

And I'm guessing the whipping cream./ cream is western influence.
I usually put yogurt instead of cream in Indian dishes I tried to make, as I dont usually buy cream.
