tastes good… this dish is actually from Kerala, they do it in banana leaves… Instead You add poppy seeds nd cashew nuts paste purely Bong eats… My mom recipe… excellent taste…
I am a Tamilian, and we dont add sugar to any of our spicy curries, so I want to know if I can avoid sugar or does sugar add an extra pinch to spicy bengali dishes? Also I don't have access to mustard oil. Could you suggest an alternative to mustard oil?

Recipe is wonderful. Please avoid using plastic wrap and microwave food. Not healthy. Use a glass or a microwave safe lid.

Now my request to you both is not encourage your viewers to use micro for cooking. And especially not to use plastic wrap through which microwaves pass means inviting cancer for sure one day.
Use not even spatulas which has become big fad but to use wooden ones.
