Avarekalu Saagu Curry is a delightful spring specialty in the states of Karnataka. Avarekalu saagu can be served as a side dish for chapathi or poori.

Ingredients Needed are

Avarekalu – 3/4 kg
Capsicum – 1
Tomato – 1
Onion – 1
Potato – 1
Few coriander leaves

For preparing Masala

Grated Coconut – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Few curry leaves
Green chillies – 3
Red chillies – 3
Ginger – 1 inch
Fried Gram – 1 tbsp
Turmeric Stick – 1/2 inch
Dhaniya – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 1/2 tbsp
Cashews – 6 to 7
Few coriander Leaves

Few Mustard Seeds
Few curry leaves
Oil
Salt
