ಹುರುಳಿ ಕಾಳಿನ ಉಪ್ಪೆಸರು / Hurali Kaalu Upsaaru – Horse Gram Upesaru – Upsaaru Khara

Upsaaru, also known as Uppesaru, a kind of sambar in South India mainly in southern part of Karnataka state. It is a traditional food of South Karnataka.

Ingredients Needed are

Horse gram – 2 cups
Red chilies – 4 nos
Jeera – 1/2 tsp
Peepercorns – 10/12 nos
Tamrind
Garlic – 15 pods
Few coriander leaves
Onion – 1
Green chilies – 2/3
Few curry leaves
Grated coconut
Mustrad seeds
oil
salt
water
