Hitikida avarekalu saaru is an easy, yummy, flavorful gravy prepared using freshly peeled hyacinth beans. It is also known as hitikida avarekalu masala saaru or hitikida bele saaru in Kannada. It is the best side dish for rice and ragi mudde.

Kadubu is a traditional sweet that hails from the state of Karnataka. It is generally prepared during Ganesh Chathurthi and offered to Lord Ganesha as a naivedyum. It is a popular breakfast dish in Karnataka.

Ingredients needed for Hitikeda bele sarru are :

1/2 kg lima beans
1 onion
8 green chili
5 red chil
10-15 garlic pods
2 inch ginger
3 cinamon
5 cloves
1 tsp sanuf
few coriander and pudina
1 small cup grated coconut
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 finely chopped onion
Few coriander leaves
5-6 cups water
salt
oil

Ingredients needed for akkitari kadbu are :

1 cup akkitare
2-3 tsp grated coconut
2 cups Water
Ghee
salt
