Wheat idiyappam in tamil/கோதுமை இடியாப்பம்/Noolputtu/Kodumai idiyappam
Description :
Method
1. Roast wheat flour till nice aroma starts to come. Add required salt and mix well.
2. Boil water till it starts boiling rigorously, now add it to little by little to the roasted flour.Mix it with a spoon till it starts to come together.
3. Let it sit for 3-4 mins or till you can handle the heat .Mix it with your hand till it gathers to form a dough
4. Grease the idiyappam steamer plate and idiyappam press well with oil.
5. Fill the idiyappam press with the dough
6. press idiyappam press in circular motion to fill the plate.
7. Pour the water in the idli steamer and place the idli plate above it and steam for 5-6 mins.
8. Once slightly cooled remove it onto a serving plate. serve with grated coconut and sugar or chutney
