Description :

The 6 ingredients that are added in Ugadi pachadi and which correspond to the taste and emotions are
1. Tamarind juice – 1 cup (sour taste – unpleasantness)
2. Jaggery (grated) – 3 tbsp (sweet taste – joy or happiness)
3. raw mango – 1 cup (tangy, astringent – surprise)
4. Neem flowers – 1 tbsp (bitter – sadness)
5. Red chili powder – 1 tsp (spicy, hot – anger)
6. Salt – to taste ( salty – fear)

Method
1. Soak small lemon size tamarind in 1 cup water for about 30 minutes. Then squeeze the tamarind pulp and keep it aside. In a bowl, add this tamarind pulp.
2. Then add the finely chopped raw mangoes , grated jaggery, neem flowers, red chili powder and salt. Mix very well.
3.Offer ugadi pachadi as naivedyam to your deities. Then serve it your family
