Tomato pickle in tamil/தக்காளி ஊறுகாய்/Andhra spicy tomato pickle/ஆந்திரா தக்காளி ஊறுகாய்
Description :
This is a spicy delicious pickle made using tomatoes. It is easy to make and can be store for quite a long time.
Method:
Heat 1/4 cup oil in a kadai, add in tomatoes, tamarind, salt and mix well. cover and cook till it softens.
Keep cooking till oil separates. Cool it down and take it in a blender, puree till coarse.
Heat 1/4 cup of oil in the same pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds,curry leaves and let it sizzle.add dry red chilies,garlic fry it well.
Add the tomato puree, add in chilli powder,turmeric powder,hing and cook till oil separates.add mustardseeds & fenugreek powder mix it well and switch off the flame.
Cool it down.
Store in a air tight container in fridge.
