Rajma pulao in tamil/Rajma paneer pulao/Paneer pulao/Rajma beans pulao/kidney bean pulav
Description :
INGREDIENTS
• 1 tbsp ghee
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 tsp pepper
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 star anise
• 1 inch cinnamon stick
• 4 clove
• 1 mac
• 1 javithri
• 3 cardamom
• 2 onion, thinly sliced
• 3 green chilies
• 1 tbsp ginger garlic crushed
• 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
• 150 gram rajma / red kidney beans, soaked overnight & boiled
• 100 gram paneer cut into medium size cubes (optional)
• 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
• ½ tsp turmeric
• 1 tsp garam masala
• 1 handful mint leaves
• 1 Handful coriander leaves
• Salt as required
• 1 cup basmati rice, soaked 30 minutes
• 2 cup water
Method
1. In a biryani pot heat 1 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp oil and saute 1 bay leaf, 1 star anise, 1 inch cinnamon, 4 clove, 3 cardamom,1 javithri, 1 mac, 1 tsp peppercorns and 1 tsp cumin seeds till they turn aromatic.
2. also saute 2 onion till they turn slightly golden.
3. add 1 tbsp crushed ginger garlic and saute well.
4. Add 3 green chilies and sauté well.
5. add 2 tomatoes and saute till it turns soft and mushy.
6. add ¼ tsp turmeric,2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder,1 tsp garam masala powder and salt. saute on low flame.
7. now add 1 cup rajma (soaked overnight or 8 hours and boiled ), 100 gram paneer, 1 cup basmati rice, soaked 30 minutes and saute for a minute.
8. add 2 cup water stir well.
9. Cover and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves
10. Our tasty rajma pulao is ready to serve with raita.
Note:
If you go to cook in pressure cooker means pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
