potato lollipop/how to make vegitable lollipop in tamil/ kids snack recipes/உருளைகிழங்கு லாலிபாப்/

Description :

Ingredients

boiled potato – 3 medium sized
finely chopped carrot – 1 no
finely chopped onion – 1 no
bread crumbs – 2 tbsp + 1/2 cup
finely chopped green chillies – 2 nos
ginger and garlic paste – 1 tsp
finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
dry mango powder – 1/tsp
garam masala powder – 1 tsp
red chilli powder – 1 tsp
salt as required
all purpose flour – 1tbsp
oil – for deep frying the lollipops

Method

1. Take 3 boiled and peeled potatoes in a mixing bowl.
Mash them well Also add finely chopped carrot. finely chopped onion, finely chopped beans, 2 tbsp of bread crumbs for binding,finely chopped green chilies,ginger and garlic paste,few chopped coriander leaves, dry mango powder,garam masala powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste.

2. mix everything together and bring it into a dough consistency.

3. Pinch small portions out of the dough mixture and shape them into small balls.

4. In a separate cup,take 1 tbsp of all purpose flour and prepare a slurry by adding 1/2 cup of water to it.Keep 1/2 cup of bread crumbs ready in a seperate bowl.

5. Now take each ball and dip it first in the maida slurry followed by a coating of bread crumbs.

6. Deep fry the coated balls in oil evenly in medium flame and transfer the fried balls onto a kitchen tissue.

7. Insert toothpicks into the fried balls and serve them as potato lollipops.
