Ingredients
Sprouted Green gram / Mulai kattiya pachai payaru -1 cup
Water as required
Salt to taste
Grated coconut – 3 tbsp
Sesame oil – 2 tbsp
For the seasoning
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Green chili – 1 no
Red chillies – 3 nos
Curry leaves – few
Hing – a pinch
Method
1. Pressure cook sprouted green gram with needed salt and required water for 2 whistles. The dal should be soft but not mushy. If there is water, drain it and keep it aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal when it splutters, add green chili, red chilies, curry leaves and hing.
3. Saute well then add the cooked pachai payaru and mix it well.
4. Switch off the flame.
5. Add grated coconut and mix well.
6. Our healthy navarathiri special Pachai payaru sundal is ready!!!!
