INGREDIENTS
FOR POORI (POLI):
• 1 cup wheat flour
• 1 tbsp rava
• water to knead
• 2 tsp oil
• oil for frying
FOR FLAVOURED MILK (PAAL):
• ½ ltr milk
• ¼ tsp saffron
• 4 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp cardamom powder
Method
poori preparation:
1. In a large mixing bowl take 1 cup wheat flour, 1 tbsp rava and
2 tsp oil.
2. Add water as required and knead the dough.
3. knead to smooth and stiff dough.
4. now pinch a small ball sized dough and prepare disk.
5. deep fry in hot oil.
6. press gently with the spoon to puff up.
7. once they puff, it will automatically turn over. if not, once the bottom side is golden brown, turn over the poori.
8. and fry the puri till golden brown all over. also drain the poori into tissue paper to remove excess oil. keep aside.
paal preparation:
1. In a large kadai heat ½ ltr with ¼ tsp saffron.
2. stir and boil the milk well.
3. add ¼ cup sugar and stir well.
4. add 1 tsp cardamom powder and stir well.
5. continue to boil until the milk thickens well.
paal poli preparation:
1. take the prepared poori.
2. dip the poori into warm milk both the sides.
3. allow to soak for atleast 2 minutes or until the poori absorbs the milk and turns to soft poli.
4. Our tastiest paal poli is ready to eat .
