Ingredient
Rice flour – 1.5 cup
Roasted gram flour – ½ cup
Soaked chana dal – 2 tbsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Crushed pepper – 1 tbsp
Crushed peanuts – 2 tbsp
Ajwain – ½ tsp
Butter – 2 tbsp
Hot oil – 2 tbsp
Hing – a pinch
Water – as required
Oil for deep fry
Method
1. Soak channa dal in water till immersing level for 30 mins.
2. After that drain water and keep the channa dhal aside. In a mixing bowl add rice flour, roasted gram flour, soaked channa dal, red chilli powder, crushed pepper , crushed peanuts, ajwain, butter, hot oil, salt and hing.
3. Mix well until all is combined. Now add water little by little to form soft dough. Be careful in adding water.
4. Take plastic cover grease it with oil. Take a small sized ball and flatten it using back side of tumbler till it is turn thin.
5. Carefully take it from the plastic sheet and keep aside. Do this for the remaining dough. The more the thinner, the thattais will be crispier.
6. Heat oil, keeping in medium flame carefully drop the thattais and seep fry until golden brown.
7. Cool down, drain in a tissue paper and then store in an airtight container.
8. The thattais were so flavorful even for 10 days and crispness remained the same too.
9. This is sure a easy snack for begineers.
