Meal make biryani/Soya briyani/மீல் மேக்கர் பிரியாணி/சோயா பிரியாணி/Soya chunks biryani

Description :

Method:

1. Boil 2 cups of water. Once it starts boiling rigorously switch it off and add the soya chunks, set aside for 30mins.

2. Then rinse with cold water thrice at least to get rid of the raw smell of soya chunks. Set aside.

3. Heat 3 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp ghee – add 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick, 3 clove, 4 cardamom, 2 javithri, 1 star anise,1 tsp fennel seeds, fry it well. Add 3 onions and fry till it turns slightly browned add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 2 green chilies. Then add 3 tomatoes Fry till raw smell leaves.

4. Then add 1 tsp chilli powder,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder, and 1 tbsp coriander powder fry till raw smell leaves. Add 1/4 cup curd mix it well.

5. Add mint leaves and coriander leaves fry it well. Add the soya along with salt. Mix well until the gravy is well blended with the soya.

6. soak 1 cup of basmati rice in water for 30 mins. Drain the water and add the rice, give a quick stir.

7. Now add 2 cups of water (1:2 ratios) and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame or till the rice fully cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Our Meal maker biryani is ready to serve with onion raita!

Note:
In case if you cook pressure cooker means pressure cook for 2-3 whistles in low medium flame.
