Masala peanuts in tamil/காரக் கடலை/Masala kadalai/Kara kadalai /மசாலா வேர்க்கடலை
Description :
INGREDIENTS
• ½ cup gram flour / besan
• 2 tbsp rice flour
• 1 tbsp corn flour
• ½ tsp turmeric
• 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
• 1 tsp amchoor powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp garam masala powder
• 1 tsp pepper powder
• 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
• ½ tsp baking soda
• Salt as required
• 1 cup 250 grams peanuts / groundnuts
• 2 tsp oil
• 2-3 tbsp water
• oil for deep frying
Method
1. In a large mixing bowl take besan flour,rice flour and corn flour.
2. also add turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, dry mango powder, garam masala powder,ginger garlic paste, baking soda and salt.
3. mix well making sure all the spices are combined well.
4. add 2 cup skinned peanuts and 2 tsp oil.
5. mix well, oil helps to coat peanuts with masala.
6. add 2 tbsp of water and mix well.
7. add 1-2 tbsp of more water in batches till the peanuts are coated well with besan.
8. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
9. deep fry in hot oil stir occasionally and fry on low to medium flame.
10. enjoy crunchy masala peanuts or store in an airtight container for a month.
