Description :

Method

1. In a bowl add 1 cup Maida, 1 tsp ghee,and salt mix well.

2. Then add required water slowly to make the soft dough.

3. Cover the bowl then leave it for 10 min.

4. Sprinkle flour then roll out into large thin chapatti.

5. In a bowl add1 tsp rice flour & 1 tsp maida mix well. keep aside.

6. Add butter and rice flour mixture then spread evenly all over the chapatti.

7. Then fold the chapatti tightly then cut into diamond shape.

8. Then take each piece & gently press or roll out.

9. For sugar syrup:- Add ¼ cup water & 1 cup sugar in a pan mix gently & let it dissolves.

10. Then add 1 tsp cardamom powder & let it boil & leave it for 7 min for string consistency then cut off heat.

11. Heat required oil in a pan, deep fry on medium hot oil.

12. Once fried flip over & cook another side.

13. Once khaja turned golden brown & crispy take it out. Drain on an tissue paper.

14. Immediately place in to the sugar syrup & leave it for 20 min. Then take it out & cool it in room temperature.

15. Once sugar syrup fully absorbed & totally dried store it in an airtight container.

16. Our khaja is ready to eat!!!
