How to make methi puri/Methi poori in tamil/Snacks recipe/மேத்தி பூரி/Fenugreek leaves puri

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cup wheat flour
• ¼ cup rava
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 2 tsp pepper, crushed
• 2 tsp Red chili powder
• 1 tsp ajwain
• ¼ tsp hing / asafoetida
• 2 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
• Salt as required
• ¼ cup Kasuri methi or fresh fenugreek leaves
• Water as required
• oil for frying

METHOD

1. take 2 cup wheat flour.

2. also add rava, cumin, pepper, red chili powder, ajwain, hing, ghee and salt

3. crumble and mix well making sure all the spices are mixed well.

4. Add kasori methi or fresh fenugreek leaves and water.

5. knead a tight dough well-adding water as required.

6. dust wheat flour and roll slightly thick as of poori.

7. using a cookie cutter / glass cut small round puri.

8. fry the poori in medium hot oil. fry on medium flame till they turn crispy and golden in colour.

9. drain off the methi puri over kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.

10. serve methi puri or store in airtight container for a month.
