Healthy Radish chutney in tamil/Mullangi chutney/Radish chutney/ஆரோக்கியமான முள்ளங்கி சட்னி

Ingredients
• Radish – 4 nos
• Chana dal – 4 tbsp
• Red chilies – 5 nos
• Curry leaves
• Coconut – ¼ cup (grated)
• Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
• Chana dal and urad dal – 1 tsp
• Oil – 3 tbsp
• Tamarind – small piece
• Water as needed
• salt to taste
Method
1. Wash, peel the skin and grate Radish
2. Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal, and red chillies. When dal turns golden brown, add grated Coconut stir and leave it to cool.
3. Heat oil in same pan add grated radish cook on medium heat, stirring from time to time until the rawness of the radish goes. leave it to cool
4. Grind the dal mixture, radish, tamarind, salt and grind to a slightly coarse paste. If it is for idly-dosa, grind it adding water like you do for chutney.
5. If it is for rice, add very less water and grind it like thogayal.
6. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal, chana dal when dal turns golden brown, add red chillies and curry leaves and pour the seasoning over the chutney.
7. Enjoy it with rice or with idli and dosa
