Ingredients

Corn rava – 1 cup
Water – 2.5 cup (1:2.5 ratio)
Onion – 1 no (finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 2 nos ( finely chopped)
Green chilies – 3 nos
Carrot and beans – 1 cup (3/4th boiled)
Grated coconut – 3 tbsp
Oil – 3 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Ginger – small piece (finely chopped)
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Salt as required

Method

1. Heat oil in a pan and Roast Corn rava for 2 minutes on medium heat and transfer it to a plate.

2. Heat oil & ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds, once the seeds pops out add cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, chopped ginger, green chilies and chopped onion and saute it for a couple of minutes.

3. Add tomato and saute well. Add turmeric powder, once the raw smell of the turmeric is gone.

4. Now add the boiled veggies – Carrot and beans, grated coconut sauté well also add salt .Now add 2.5 cups of water (1:2.5 ratio) and let it come to boil.

5. Once the water comes to a boil gradually add the roasted corn rava and mix well without any lumps. Once all the water has been absorbed by the corn rava. Cover and cook 5 minutes on medium flame.

6. Once done turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves

7. That’s it our delicious and simple healthy Corn Rava Kichadi is ready to be served with coconut chutney and sambar.
