Chips without maida / wheat chips / கோதுமை சிப்ஸ் / namak para recipe

Description :

INGREDIENTS
• 2 cup wheat flour
• 1 teaspoon ajwain
• 2 teaspoon red chili powder
• 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
• 1 tablespoon butter or Hot oil
• Water as needed
• salt to taste
• oil for frying
Method
1. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together.
2. Add the butter, water and start to knead the dough.
3. Take medium sized balls from the dough and roll them on a dusted flour.
4. Roll into a disc neither too thin nor too thick.
5. With a serrated knife make criss cross patterns on the rolled dough.
6. Remove the diamond shaped patterns and deep fry them in hot oil till crisp and golden browned.
7. Drain them on paper napkins to remove excess oil.
8. Once they cool down, then store them in an airtight box.
9. You can serve wheat chips with tea.
