INGREDIENTS
• Drumsticks – 5
• Onion – 1 medium sized
• Tomato – 1 medium sized
• Red chili powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Water – 1.cup
• Salt – to taste
To Grind
• Coconut grated – 1 tbsp
• Fennel seeds – ½ tsp
To Temper
• Oil – 3 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
• Curry leaves – few
METHOD
1.Grind coconut, fennel seeds with little water to a fine paste. Set aside.
2. Wash the drumsticks well in running water and chop them length wise.
3. Heat a pan with oil and add the items to temper. Once mustard cracks add curry leaves. Fry it for a minute. Now add the onions and sauté till onion becomes transparent.
4.Then add chopped tomatoes and sauté them until soft and mushy. Once the tomatoes are cooked well add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt sauté well until the raw smell is completed leaves.
5. Now add drumstick and add water till immersing level and cook covered in medium flame for 10 minutes.
6. Now add coconut paste. Mix well and fry the masala until the raw smell is completely leaves.
7. Fry the drumsticks well with the masala for 2 minutes so that the masala gets evenly coated with the drumsticks.
8.Add ½ cup water and cook covered in medium flame until the drumsticks are completely cooked. This may take 10 minutes. After the drumsticks got cooked well, garnish with coriander leaves.
9.Once everything comes together, switch off the flame.
10. Our drumstick masala is ready to eat
