Description :

INGREDIENTS
Ragi (finger millet) – 4 cups
Idli rice – 1 cup
Whole Urad dal – 1 cup
Fenugreek seeds – 2 tsp
Salt as needed
Oil or ghee for making dosas

Method for batter

1. Wash and soak idli rice, ragi, urad dal and fenugreek seeds for 5 hours. Grind well until smooth and fluffy. I used the wet grinder for grinding.

2. Then add salt needed and mix well. Keep aside for 4-5 hours to ferment depending on the climate. The batter must rise at least slightly

3. Pour water and bring to a desired consistency. To make crisp dosas keep the batter slightly thick. For thin dosas make the batter slightly thin.

Method for dosa
1. Heat a dosa tawa, take a ladle of ragi dosa batter and spread it as you like thick or thin. Drizzle a tsp of ghee or oil around the dosa.

2. Once it gets cooked, flip it over to the other side. Let the other side get cooked.

3. Once cooked remove and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

4. This dosa will be very soft and delicious.
