Ingredient
Cooked idiappam – 1 cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves – 1 cup
Mint leaves – 1/2 cup
Chana dal – 2 tbsp
Urad dal – 2 tbsp
Red chilies – 5 nos
Coconut – 1/4 cup
Shallots – 1/4 cup

To temper
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Red chilies – 2 nos
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Salt to taste

Method
1. Wash the coriander leaves and let it retain some water.

2. Heat a pan with oil, season with channa dal, urad dal and red chilies, add the washed coriander leaves and mint leaves and sauté the leaves in medium flame until it just shrinks.

3. add coconut and saute for one minutes. allow to cool completly.
4. once cooled transfer to mixie jar with little water, Grind until everything blends.

5. Heat a pan with oil and add the mustard followed by other items listed under “To Temper” one by one, after the mustard splutters. Now, add the onion saute until the onion turns translucent.

6. Add the coriander paste and add salt to the pan and reduce the flame to medium. Cook it 2 – 3 minutes.

7. Add the boiled idiappam to the pan and mix nicely until combined well.

8. Enjoy hot with coconut chutney.
