I have not added egg in this recipe .You can either use egg or plain yogurt to it, which gives softness to the parotta.
Knead the dough for 20 mins ,which is very important for a layered parotta
Resting for min 4 hrs is very important which helps to stretch them.The longer we rest the dough softer the parottas become.
Adding sugar gives beautiful golden color to the parottas
It goes well with chicken salna or plain salna.
For dough
Maida / All purpose flour – 4 cups
salt
Sugar – 2 tsp
water
